I am thinking of installing an ATA for use with a cordless phone. Does this work well? Also I read that you are not supposed to send but one outside line to an ATA to ring. Is this correct? The person that has this phone has two outside lines to answer? Is this a good application for the use of the ATA? Thanks.

You can assign both lines to ring on the set, but if he is on one of the lines he will not know if the other is ringing, no call waiting.

It works great! We have 3 ATA's in a small office, going to cordlesss phones. Users forward their ext to the ATA ext when they go out in the warehouse, then unprogram when they return to their desks. Only disadvantage is that no VM coverage when they do this.

You can program as many lines you wish to ring on the cordless, the only other concern I can think of is battery life. The more lines you have ringing, the shorter the battery life. What I have done is not to have immedite ring on the outside lines, only ring to the cordless after giving other users a chance to pick it up first.
