I have a customer who got a "great deal" on the internet for a 8x24 with DR3. Of course he has now discovered that it does not pass Caller ID.
Wasn't there a way to give an 8x24 CID? Does anyone remember what you needed and how it works?
Thanks, Larry

I have'nt been able to find CID in the manuals until I got up to DR5 and then its' under "Call Services". May not have been availble until DR5, but still looking.

Rick, this is an 8x24, it does not take trunk cartridges until you add an 0x12.
Please let me know if you find any thing else, JohnyReb. Wasn't there an adjunct unit for this?
Thanks for the help. I apprecaite it!

Nfc, they made a module NT8B88 for the 824. I don't have any experience with one but googled and found several refurbs for sale. You may want to check into that. The ones I've found looked like alot of money for CID. I was'nt able to determine what software level is required to make it work.

Sorry, I thought you were talking CICS, I called my Nortel rep and found that the software needs to be DR5 and an optional CID box needs to be purchased, since the cabinet is discountinued it would be cheaper to put them into a MICS with CID cards, as long as the phones are M series. Hope that helps

DR3 will not support caller ID ,you have to use DR 5 and you can use CII-M8 (caller ID Interface) that will interface on the 8 lines on the main system .The CII-8M connects to the core system only It requires only one dedicated station port on the norstar system, and for lines connected to the modualr trunk module you have to use CI trunk cartridge.I hope that helps.
