the easiest way is to switch out the software. you will lose programming. if that is not an option the you have to get the upgrade cartridge which are not very easy to find.

I agree with the previous post ,replace the old s/w with a new one ,but if you want to save the translation or your old programs ,you can use upgrade tools (doesn't work all the times its a 50% chance ) but its available .In regarding to the flash vm to transfer out side from the CCR you will need at least rel 1.9 or higher.By the way if you will use the upgrade tool make sure that you get the correct one they have 2 kinds one for regular MICS and the other for the XC . I hope that helps.

I'm not sure what you mean by forwarding a mailbox out of the system,if you mean a outcalling after some one leave a msg then the vm will call out to a cell phone or a pager if thats what you want then you can use flash rel 1.7 or higher but if you want the option of a live trnsfer out of the mailbox like dial i.e dial 7 to reach me or something like that then this option is not availble on the flash but its available on the NAM and the callpilot. If you want to transfer the call externally from a telephone you will need MICS or CICS 4.1 or higher.I hope that helps.

Thanx...the 4.1 was the answer I needed. I am assuming the user of the mailbox will have the option of using a destination code to call forward his mailbox to an external number...Mike

On relese 4.1 or higher you will use Feature 4 to forward the extension and you have to build a routing table with a destination number to be able to externaly forward the extension(not the Mailbox).
