When i go to this field in programming, it displays "M7410 & 10+24" and I have not been able to change it or change the button mapping on the t7316. Any suggestions?

Customer wants the upper field to be the stations (they are using 8)and use the others for one-touch voice mail and speed dials, & they want tohe top left three in the lower(display) field to be lines 1-3.

Have you tried using Ftr*1,Ftr*2 and Ftr*3.?

Ftr*1 will program external speed dial
Ftr*2 will program internal speed dial
Ftr*3 will program featurs

Ftr*0 will let you check the programming of the buttons.

That should work for the Speed dials and VM keys, if you need the feature codes to program for that let me know. As far as the lines, they should appear in the correct place as long as you have them assigned to that set. I know the "T" series phones are a little different but on the M series, when you assign lines to a set they will appear in the order you assign them starting at the Top left of lower buttons.

Thanks, that will do the top field...
the line appearance on this t7316 starts with line 1 on the 4th button from the bottom on the left display field. I tried moving it with the line mapping ftr, but it did not like that.

You must have a T7316e to use the top 3 buttons as line keys. Do you have a T7316 or T7316e?

In the T 7316 phone the line apperance starts at the 4 button down and you can't change that or move it to any of the first buttons regardless of any feature code you will use. However there are a new series of phones the E series like T7316E thats will work with release 6.1 s/w and it will starts the lines in the normal fashion from the top down.I hope that helps.

That explains the line appearance-it is a t7316 not "e"

If you want them to be stations, press Ftr*2, the button you want to program, then dial the extension #.
