I have a customer that wants a key programmed with the acces code 9 for pool group A. Is there a feature code to do this. They have centrex lines and does not like dialing 9, 9. I tried doing feature*2 (internal autodial)and feature*1 (external autodial) with no luck.
What am I missing?
Just found a featur64 for line pools, but not syre how to setup. I will try tomarrow on site, to see if I can do it. Thanks, JJ

You have to setup a line pool code for "A" as 9 (do this first). To program the button, feature * 3, push the button, then press feature 649. This will only work after you have set all of the lines into the pool and assigned 9 as the Access code for line pool A.
Hope that helps Chris

To program a pool button ,you need to use feature 3 and press the button then press feature 64 then the access code (9).Another way you can create a destination code with dial out 9 so all the customer has to so is dail only one 9 .
Good Luck.

This is long winded, but will solve your problem of not having to dial either 9. It types longer then it really is to programm.
1. Enter programming 2. Go under terminals and sets 3. Bring up the particular set. 4. Go under user prefernces 5. Go under button programming 6. Press find, enter the number in which you want to programm (i.e. B06) 7. Clear feature that is currently on button 8. Press the tel # option 9. Select external 10. Enter just a 9, and press OK 11. Then it will give you options on which line to use, press change till you see pool code. 12. When you get to pool code enter 9, and the display will say pool that 9 is assoc. with 13. Release out of programming its done.
If you do a button Inq.(feature*0) it will display line pool A then a 9.
To use just select intercom, then that button, and dial the number, the nines will be in their for you.
I don/t have centrex, but tested using a 1 for long distance. I press my intercom, then hit the button which I had programmed as pool A with a 1, then dialed area code and number. It worked like a charm. Good Luck, hope I have helped.

Thanks for the response.
I had setup pool group A, with access code 9, but forgot how the feature64 worked. I setup a destination code of 7, that dials both 9's for them. Now I can do two keys for customer and they will not have to remeber anything.
Thanks.

I have run into this situation. What I have done is the following:
Remove the 9 for the line pool access code for Line pool A.
Then setup a Route - Route Code 9. Make the route to an external number, line pool A, then have it dial 9.
This way, when a user picks up the handset and dials 9, the system will automatically pick up the next free line in the system and dial 9 again for them. Then all they have to do is dial the number.
