I've got a Norstar MICS telephone system and I've tried the page out T/R- black slate pair to the TEl/RING of the Bogen amp & the external page pair-yellow -blue to the Bogen mute. I have music on my speakers and the music mutes when I try to page, but no audible page. Does anyone know how to page thru this 70v amplifier. tks...

The Ext. page pair, yellow/blue, (if that's the right pair) would connect to the TEL terminals in the center of ther term. strip. I believe it's 6 & 7 from the left. Music connects either to the RCA jack or the music Term & grnd. Ringing over the speakers can be from a ringing EXT. to TEL RING terms. or from a dry contact connected to the CONTACT RING term and GRND. The terminal strip should be marked. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/confused.gif)

Still no luck, I placed an ohm meter on my yellow-blue pair and monitored my page. I see where it places a short from an open condition on that pair when I do an external page. Fea 62, I don't get any battery on my handset. Do I still need my black-slate connected anywhere? I'm seeing an equipment short on that pair. Is there anything in the programming, that I need to do? ***I'm using the wiring chart from ICS telephone and auxillary equipment page 257.tks.....for your help....

You will definately still need the blask/slate pair, that is your audio out. You should not need any special programming to make the external page work. I've never ohmed out the page port so not sure what you should read, but I always use my toner probe to listen for voice output on the page pair. Also I would short the mute inputs together and put your toner on the black/slate pair to see if you hear the tone coming through the amp.

I got it to work with the external page out( y/bl pr.) * make *& common pair to the ** MUTE ** of the amp ( which places a short when paging & mutes the music) and the black/slate(audio pr) pr. to the T/R pins 6 & 7 of the Bogen TPU 100B... * I also turned up the volume of the * TEL-VOlUME of the Bogen amp.* A must to hear paging.... tks...for all your help.....
