I'm at the beginning of the learning curve of installing a PRI and I've done 2 in the past month. First one went smooth but ran into a couple of things on the second that maybe someone can shed some light on. The second was a MICS with 5.0. Everything went fine except for dialout. I made route 001 use PRI-B pool, then made a destination code of "9any" to use that route and absorb 1 digit. Everything worked fine with the exception that the system would not let me start an outdial number with a 1,5, or 7. What I ended up having to do was to create additional dest codes to include "91any" , "95any" and "97any" and absorb 1 digit. It worked fine after that but I was wondering why just those 3 digits weren't covered by the original dest code of "9any".

To be completely honest, that's just how it came up. I had orginally had it set up as PRI-A, never could get the card to come up. Went under maint and disabled/re-enabled when it came back up it came back up PRI-B, never was able to change it back to A, and it was working so I left it alone. The sofware was a little different than the 6.1 I used on my first. On 6.1 I was able to select the line range I wanted to use and select PRI-A or PRI-B. The only other differene is on the first system they were only using the PRI and no loop cards, on the second we still have 6 loop cards until they swing over those lines Mon AM. I just got the circuit set up Friday and tested using the 40 new DID's.
