getting the 9th line started on MICS...have core MICS and one trunk module two CI's in the core and one CI on the module...have the 1st 8 lines running fine...the station sets are fine too...and so is the call pilot....need another line...

It doesn't show up...maybe I have to put another cable to the module and run it to a wafer (66) and punch down the new 9th line onto it....originally thought it would work through the core MICS by punching down the line on the next postion

Maybe you can't put 9 there.

you have to have an ampfenol cable from the Trunk mod. make sure the CI card is in the right slot. Depending on the type of fiber expansion and where the fiber plugs in will determine the port number of that trunk. If everything is confgiured correctly, your line #9 will actually be line 049 in the system.

I have the CI card on the left side of the trunk module case...in slot one

I am not getting a line defined as 049.

Have rebooted the system and nothing shows up

Do you mean the correct(right) slot , or the slot on the right side of the cabinet (that is marked #3)

the "correct slot" which is 1. Have you gone into maintenance to see if the trunk module is showing up?

I have looked at the maintenace:

I am using a 6 port fiber combo card with the Trunk module plugged into port 8 (at the top)

The module status says:

Mod 8: 1 card

Card status says:

Card 1 : 4lines

State: 0 lines busy
