How can I program a nortel 7310 phone set to answer an incoming call by simply picking up the receiver instead of having to press the incoming line button?

The line has to be progammed to ring on that phone in order to just pick up the rx'r and get the call. Other thatn that there is no special programming involved. If it is already ringing and not working correctly you may have a bad hookswitch.

The lines assigned to the phone were all set to "appear only". I changed them to "appear and ring" and it picks up. Thanks for helping a rookie.
