I have an old MICS R1T1 and I got a new 6.1 SW with NVRAM , can I just power off replace the NVRAM and power on? I am not worried about losing programming because I want to reprogram from scratch.
Any thing I should take care of before doing so?

if you aren't worried about the programming then get started.

you'll enjoy programming with the new 6.1 anyways. goes much smoother and easier to find what you want to program.

How new is your 6.1? Because if it is not the lastest then there were issues with the software. The latest issue is 6.1 MR6.10.
