I need to come up with a way to accomplish the following for a Taxi cab company:
A call comes in to the main line, and is fwd'd to driver A, the next call is fwd'd to driver B, etc...then back to driver A.
I am thinking of putting 3 phones in a distributed hunt group, each with external cfwd to their cell phones.
I am not sure if this will work yet.
So far I've only found line redirection in the manual and tested ok, but that would leave the hunting up to telco and the first guy on the list would always get the calls.
Any sugestions???

Forwarding the physical sets is probably the only way it will work with the hunt group but if you have phones to spare, why not? Especially if they are only 7100's or something.

HOw do I get an external CFWD on a set? F4 only has internal fwding.
The manual says "external CFWD...see line redirect" which happens before the call is processed through any hunt group.
If someone can tell how to acheive External CFWD for an individual set, this may come together.

has to be authorized in programming for line redirect but Feature 84 turns on, feature #84 turns off.

The "Allow Redirect" capability has to be turned on for the set and you have to program "9" as a routing code, not a line pool code. Then go Feature 4 9XXX-XXXX at the set.

Ok, so I've gotten this so far in testing:
>2 phones each with allow redirect =Y >destination code = 8 >destination code 8 uses route 000 >route 000 uses Pool A
Then I can use F4, 8 + phone number and the call goes to the outside number specified upon transfering a call to the set DN
no problem there.
I can also set the CFWD/NA in capabilities for those phones and that also works when transfering to the set DN.
no problem there either.
But if those same phones are in hunt group 01, with sequential hunting, the transfered call (to the hunt group DN) ignores the CFWD status completely and rings back and forth between the 2 phones until the transfer recall timer kicks it back.
If you re-read the original post in this thread, you will see where I'm trying to go with this. I need the calls to distibute evenly to 3 external cell phones.
Is this even possible?

I understand. It sounds like the system won't forward hunt group calls. In that case I don't know if it's possible to do what you want - I can't think of any other way to approach it except for a Call Center application maybe. If I get a chance I'll read up on hunt groups a bit more...
