I have setup a CallPilot 150 with a CCR tree. I have a transfer node setup to send a call externally to an after hours service. It is setup as Line as an Outdial Method and a valid line number. All the lines are Centrex lines (dial a 9). I am getting an error when I test it, "the routing information configured for this call is not valid" What am I missing?

If you are using destination/route codes, select "route" as your outdial method. This will allow multiple calls to be transfered to the external number (rather than selecting one individual line). Other than that, just make sure that the number you enter includes the "9" that will be required by the Centrex line. ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

I am not currently using destination/route codes and I have a 9 in front of the telephone number. I have tried using different lines but get the same result. I have a couple internal transfer nodes working fine, so it seems like it is a general setting somewhere I am missing.

Do the DNs assigned to the CallPilot (all of them) have unrestricted access to the lines that you are trying to dial out on? And, are there any Outcalling channels available (check the max outcalling channels parameter on the system properties page). ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

Any of these that I have set up use 9 as a routing code rather than a line pool code - which seems to work perfectly. Why not set 9 up as a routing code with Absorb Digits = 0 so the user doesn't have to dial 9 twice?

I'm having the same problem
I have a call piolt 100 and under the CCR properties, transfering an external call is getting the incorrect routing information.
Under the outdial method I only have Line, Pool or Intercom. Shouldn't it be straigt forward to select Line and Line number and enter the phone number to dial to transfer the call? The call pilot is hooked up to 27 and 28 and I have checked the set abilities and it doesn't have any dialing restrictions.
Can any one help?
Thanks in advance

If you select Line and enter the line number it should work with 9 plus the phone number. If you select Pool, enter 1 for Pool A, then enter the 9 (for centrex) and the phone number. If you are using a destination code, then select Route, leave the line/pool field blank, and enter the 9 plus phone number.
Dumb question - but I assume you've verified that the Centrex code is 9. I ran into a site a few months ago where the centrex code was 7 and it took us a while to figure out why it wasn't working.

Also, It is better to pick a Line Pool or use Routing than to use a specific Line. If by chance someone else is using THAT line, then your transfer will not go through.......once you get it all working.
