Currently have an information mailbox set up on our Norstar system, which lists mailing address, etc, which states to push "0" to reach an operator. When 0 is pushed, phone rings, and automated recording says, "Operator is unavailable". I thought it was supposed to automatically go to the General Delivery Mailbox when an operator isn't available? Does anyone know how to assist with this??

Is the General Delivery MB turned on? F983, then press 6 after login.

Yes, it's turned on. Thing I'm confused about is outside of the information mailbox, if you push 0, it's fine, but when in the information mailbox, if you push 0, it will ring at the receptionist desk, but instead of going to the mailbox, it just says Operator unavailable.

Did you try changing the operator status with feature 982?

No, I'm not sure how to do that. If I push F 982 now, it asks for a password.
It still doesn't completely make sense to me if it works fine, unless you're in that specific information mailbox.

That's just an attendants password not a supervisor or installer password. No harm no foul. mark

Originally posted by locg: thought no passwords in public forum!! Pretty good rule of thumb is if the password is in the Coord guide, it's OK. As Mark said that password should be availble for an attendant in most cases. [This message has been edited by JOHNYREB (edited February 12, 2005).]
