Hi all, I'm new here but I need help with what may be a simple problem.
I need to install xc 2.0 on a mics in order to access and back -up an old Nam VM 2.1. I have tried 3 different copies of xc 2.0 on two diff Mods. It just flashes and never loads.
Any suggestions?

If they have had a higher version of software installed, then you can't simply downgrade.

You can reboot the unit with the higher software version and then reinitialize the unit. Wait about 20 seconds and then unplug the power. Insert the older software and power up.

The other option is to disassemble short the battery/capacitor inside the MICS. Reassemble, install the software and boot up.

Reinitialize, do you mean "startup", do I wait till it asks for template or just randomly unplug during startup.
These ksu were refurb units still in the box. They were supposedly fresh .
Is it possible that newer KSU's are not compatible with older s/w?

Yes, I mean startup (the old brain was a little tired when I posted.)

Go through the startup procedure, choose the template you want. Wait until the screen says "Applying Template" (or whatever it says) then wait a few seconds and unplug the power. Install the 2.0XC and repower.
