hey there. im new to the boards. i desperately need some assistance. i have a CICS that went down. an electrician apparently worked at my customers site and they asked for him to hook up an ext. he did so, and the whole sys crashed. he's in another state. so im working w/ him over the phone. it doesnt seem as though he did anything wrong, but its always a guess??? i had him reboot. wait awhile. power cycle. NOTHING. -- 2nd -- reboot, reseat TC software card. powercycle. THIS time, the phones blinked lines across the display. waiting, waiting, then they went dead again. Third power cycle. reseated amph cables. nothing??? ANY HELP?? (we checked the power, its good. he is an electrician so i'd hope he could do that right. haha.)
please help? desperate....

Sounds like you did everything you can from a distance. Send a tech with a crash kit.

It was working OK before the sparky added a station? First remove his wiring --- then, seeing as you've rebooted, reboot. Most sparky's only know residential wiring --- and they still don't do it right. If it comes up --- OK, if not , send that tech. Lots of Luck.

You don’t drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
