Have customer with CICS 2.0 and sartalk Flash 1.7
Our engineer sent a MICS 6.1, 2 port fiber card, trunk expansion mod, and DID card.
Will the voicemail work with 6.1 software?
I thought the highest voicemail would work with was 4.1?

It will support Startalk only if you upgrade the startalk sortware to 1.9, minimum according to the Norstar Compatability matrix

I was told if is was a Lite it would work.
Will be going there tomarrow, so we will see!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

You may be correct. I've never touched a lite VM. Let us know...

The Lite will still have problems. It will recognize but the MICS 6.1 with a Flash 1.7 is just not a good Marriage. I know they want to save money, but on this one I say upgrade the Flash to the 1.9 or the 2.0.10 and be done with it. Good luck and if you leave the Flash at a 1.7 you will get called with issues regarding the unit not recognizing certain tones, not notifiing messages, and being busy when trying to get to mailboxes. These will of course be your fault in the eyes of the customer.

THe Flash 1.7 software would not work on the MICS 6.1.
They ordered 2.0 for startalk flash and will try again latter.
I knew it would not work, but have to prove it to our engineers.

Replaced CICS with MICS and installed DID's with no problem.
Upgraded Startalk from 1.7 to 2.0 with no problem, but had to reinstall to get it to regonize 3 didget DN's.
Still fine tunning some of the setting for customer.
Adding a T7406 tomarrow.
