MICS 4.0 with T1
Have a customer looking to get outbound caller id and inbound caller id. We are going to get PRI enabler key codes for the system and installing them here in a couple of weeks.
My question:
With 4.0 can I enable all sets to display the caller information with PRI enabled on the system?
Also, outbound caller ID is a carrier option, correct?
Thanks in advance!

I hate to see this question go unanswered so I'll take a blind stab at it (I just don't have time tonight to dig for the exact figures). There is definately a finite amount of space in the call log (seems like it is 250 calls for the system). So, depending on the number of sets, you may not be able to configure much usable space for individual users. What the carrier sends as outbound caller ID, depends on the carrier. Different carriers support it differently. If you had newer software (don't recall if 4.0 supports this, but I don't think so) you could configure unique Name and Number on a set-by-set basis. Of course, if you are sending that info to a carrier that only passes the number, there is not much (short of switching carriers) you can do. Lastly, 4.0 is not exactly the most stable version of software. You may want to consider an upgrade to go along with that new PRI. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/wink.gif) Good Luck! ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

BCMguy is correct about upgrading from 4.0. I have not seen any software issue that allowed name and number customized by set though.
