I know this might be a bit premature but, I am in the middle of a new install MICS 6.1MR w/ CP150 and 16 seat lic.

I am getting a constant blinking green light on port 1 and no lights on 3 thru 4. Feature 9*1 does not work to initialize. In the past I have used a ethernet connection to initialize but didnt have my laptop today. What does the flasing green mean???

Note: I am only using ports 1 and 3 because I need to add a 0X16 to utilize all 4 ports. Should I have used ports 1 and 2? As you can tell I only have to availible DN's to use.

did you go in system programing and check that the system see's the call polit under maint. dn status. all the cp ports you have connected to phone system should have a solid
green light, no light is no communication i dont know what a blinking light means but if i had to guess i'd say you have some kind of communication problem as well.

If port 1 light is blinking rapidly your system has encountered a bootload error. Check that your software cartridge is plugged all the way in. If it is you may need to reload the software from Nortels Web Site to the PCMIA card. Use a lap top to do this.

If ports 1 and 2 are blinking you have a power issue. Replace power transfoirmer.
You need to first determine if your feature codes were yoused in another voicemail application, if so remove them before you install the new Callpilot.
When initializing, you need to use F983 and systtem installer password to config the new system.

Thanks for the replys folks! Next time im onsite I will check everything suggested.

Inregards to having Nortel upload the software to the PC card, im thinking I just plug into my PCMCIA slot and then what? If they had to do it themselves I would have to setup my router to allow them access to my Laptop. If they have it on the dealer site to download then that wont be a problem.

I guess I will figure it out when onsite again and keep you all updated.

Yes, but the MICS does not see any of the DN's as a NVM or CP.

Call Pilot has 2 slots. Is the s/w card in the back slot? If in the front slot, it shows boot error.

Problem solved folks! I had a tech go out and setup the CP 150 with the other 2 DN's it was missing. I was able to setup the features (9*1) and initialize (983 + installer pswd.).

Yes the PC card has always been in the most back slot. I dont know what initially caused this problem but hey... its all good now!

Thanks again!
