Thanks in advance

Our customer has an mics that has lost the page tone on the speakers and hand sets. I dont know were to go to fix it. I went into programming and the page tone is set to yes I did set it to no then back to yes and now Im at a loss. The other problem was an event 50 XX that was all dn disconnected just before a shutdown happened but I dont know if that has much to do with this trouble. As always any advise is helpful

Ya I dont get it we have never lost the tone before. The software they are running is 4.1 so we will upgrade it and see if the trouble goes away. Oh and I thought maybe it was the valcom causing the issue (late connection or something) but I went straight to the page pair with a test set and still no tone. Anyway thanks again and I will be keeping you up dated

Check under System Programming-Feature Settings-Page Tone.
If it is set to no, change to yes
If it is set to yes, change to no. Reboot. Change back to yes.

evt 50 xx I dont recall the last digits but when I looked up the code it was "all dn disconnected" then the typical reboot events from when I was in and working on it but thats about it. I did order a software upgrade nortel tech support says that should fix it but I would still like to know how it got that way. On that note when I do the upgrade from 4.1 to 6.1 should I use the tool I heard its still glitchy and nothing should change anyway if the rom is release 2 is this correct?

You won't need the upgrade tool. It is only used for pre-4.0 to 4.0 (and higher) upgrades, when retaining the customer database is desired.

Just curious about the production version of your current software...does it happen to be "SP:30NdG00"? If so, that software is known to be buggy (does some strange things).

Good Luck with your upgrade!

There are known problems with the Release 1 NVRAM cartridges. I thought yours was a Release 2. It shouldn't matter for the upgrade, and won't affect your need (or lack there of) for the upgrade tool. But, I wouldn't discourage anyone from moving off a Release 1 NVRAM. If that is what you have, it might even be the source of your page tone problem (due to corruption in NVRAM).
