Mics Upgrade tool does not work when I try to upgrade from the earliest software (T1 Mics)to 4.1. The upgrade tool is the V.25.07. This is supposed to work. It prompts me to install new mics software, but does retain memory. I am trying this in my lab.

Try going to MICS 2.0, or 3.0 first just to get the system on the newer programming format. Does the upgrade tool match the software type (i.e. XC or not XC)?
