Hello everyone and thanks for your time in advance. I'm use to working with Msl-100 and now I find myself working with norstar. Sorry if my question comes across as dumb. On the Norstar if you want to transfer a number to another number what feature would you use? I tried feature 3 but no second dialtone, just a message on the display that says make second call. When I try to make the second call nothing, other person is still on the line and hears key strokes. Is there something I need to program to make this feature work?

Thanks again,
Gomez

Transferring a call
1. Press FEATURE 70
2. Call the person to whom you want to transfer the call.
3. If you want to talk to the person to whom you are
transferring the call, wait for them to answer, and speak to
them before proceeding.
4. When you are ready to complete the transfer, press RLS or
JOIN.

Zog,
That will only transfer the number to persons intercom key, but doesn't free up the line they called on. Trying to make it where when the transfer the line it frees up the line they called in on and makes it available to receive another call

Hello Sembach,

Please complete your profile so we know who we are helping.

The only way to transfer a call outside the system AND free up the associated lines, is to use a Centrex (or Centrex like) feature from the carrier. If you have this available on your lines, you can use it with the "Link" (flash) feature (Feature + 71).

I hope this helps!

BCM,
I work in the end office, and are main switch is a DMS-100. Can I use the Link feature with the DMS to enable this feature? Plus, I just trying to forward the call intra system. Thanks for your help.
