Could someone please tell me where or how I can get Map file AOF01ENG. I cannot backup my MICS 6.1. I am not familiar with this problem, does this file go on my laptop or get downloaded to the MICS ?

As far as I know you need to use NRU10 to do a back up on 6.1 or newer. This is also the same when using browser. Remote set will work fine no matter what NRU you are running.

I have alot of updated MAP files for NRU 10 but dont know if adding them to the MAP file directory for anything earlier than NRU10 will work.

Anyway... I had the same problem you are having when I was using NRU9. I installed NRU10 and all connection problems are gone.

I have tried both NRU 9&10 both with the same result. The screen says that this particular MAP FILE is "required" and I can do remote changes but no backup. Could you please send me this MAP FILE and does this file stay on my laptop or downloaded into the MICS ? Please advise as I have not run into this problem before.
Thanks in advance
Doug

Thank you everyone for sending me the MAP FILE. Several of you sent it to me,I really
appreciate it. I copied it to my other map files and now I can back it up.
Thank you all again.

Glad to be of help here. I think these map file issues arise when a bootleg copy of NRU is beiing used. I could be mistaken though???

It's really just a matter of the installed NRU image being older than the ICS software that is being administered. (it does seem like this might happen more frequently in the case of a bootleg though [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] )

New map files come out with every incremental release of ICS software.

The downloadable copy of NRU 10 has not changed since June of 2003 (so it is old).

NRU 11 is available. It won't have the map file problem for now (at least until an incremental release or maintenance release of ICS 7.0 comes out [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] ).

Once a new release comes out, the online image is OLD, and you will have the map file issue again.
