Toshiba does still make white phones, even the 14 button big display ones come in white.

Take a look at Panasonic. Their 76XX phones are available in white. For non-dealers, check the 77XX series that works with the 824 system, and is backwards compatible to the 624 and possibly further. John C

In the last --- forever, it seems --- I've had exactly one request for white telephone sets. I used the Panasonic with the 77XX sets. This is an insurance agency and they are on the phone all day. But they use headsets and they have stayed clean (amazing).

And, yes, most of the older systems with white sets always turn "yellow" or just plain dirty.

KLD wink

I have run across this as well..white or no sale. Luckilly, Tadiran now makes white phones and NEC does as well, but it sucks to have to stock these phones because you only sell them once in a blue moon.

Just an observation guys, but take it from an old fart/ops manager, sometimes it's better to just WALK AWAY. The money you tie up in little used spares can't be used to make money. Let the 'other company' tie their money up in inventory! If 'it' isn't gonna turn over in 90 days or less, you shouldn't have 'it' in inventory, unless 'it' is for supporting a bunch of customers! If you've had it longer than 6 months, 'fire sale' it and get the cash back in moving inventory! Trust me, it works. We as an indutry seem to have WWAAYY too much old, obsolete, slow moving, and just plain useless stuff around. How many times have you babied along an old tired obsolete, TIE, MERLIN, etc, only to see the customer buy a brand new whatever you don't handle!
Maybe this should get moved to 'NEW TOPIC".

I still don't get it.... If a customers biggest requirement of their phone system is that the phones are WHITE, then I'd let them buy from the "white phone guy" down the block. More trouble than the sale (and subsequent service calls) are worth in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the advice, I am one of the old timers that tries to please the customer if it makes sense. I won't put a phone system under a staircase so someone has to crawl, but I don't have much of an issue with color so long as I have a non-refundable deposit up front.

I have not seen the color of the "white" Toshiba 3000 series or 3200 series, only put in the charcoal. If it is a pure white then I would be happy with that. If he doesn't like the price, yes he certainly can walk, I don't chase away small systems because 3 two line phones turned into my biggest customer for seven or eight years.

And yes, I have way too much useless stuff around but I am prepared for most anything.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice.

The Toshibas are the closest to pure white I've seen on a phone, got an old white 2020sd that's been banging around in my truck for about 3 years that's still white.
