Hi all, hope you can help me. I have 2 problems, not sure if they are related. I installed the CP100 on the CICS ver7.0 yesterday and the CICS kept giving me "inactive feature." When I go into Maintenance and view the port, it knows I have the CP there on ports 115 and 116. When I arrived today (after it was sitting all night) the connection light was on and I was able to get into the CP and program like normal. During the day, it lost communication a couple of times, once I down powered and it found it after 4 minutes and the other time I just left it and it eventually worked again. The next problem is I have 5 lines coming in on 2 CI cards, one is new and the other is and old style card. A ringing line doesn't always appear and ring on the KSU. My buttset has it right away before the KSU. I tried swapping the CI cards to eliminate a bad one but no difference. Any thoughts?

With the help of Bell, I got my ringing lines working. Low ring voltage coming into the prem. Still got problems with the Call Pilot 100 though. Found out today from the distributor there has been some issues with the version 3 CP100. Anybody else encounter some trouble with this version?

I just installed a cp 100 with v.3. The device was setup as c.p. instead of NVM. The mailboxes were created and then the customer decided they like the old NVM better( no need to enter mailbox number when logging in.)
I logged in and switched it to NVM but bothing changed. I checked it and it still said NVM. I unplugged the machine and rebooted . It says NVM but still acts as C.P. I created a new mailbox under NVM and it too acted as C.P.
This was a minor issue and the customer decided to live with the C.P. menu's but I was wondering if this was V.3 related.

I have run into that before, I don't believe that is a rev 3 problem. After downpowering the CP100, you have to remove the feature codes using the "xftest" (page 68 of the install manuel). Then you carry on as a new install from that point.

couldn't you just do a "Reinstall"?
and integrate it as an NVM?

Punch down all your damn pairs!..........(please).

I think the reinstall is the only way to switch back. The customer is happy now with the C.P. u.i..

I know this post is old but you can change from cp to nvm by resetting the feature in XFTEST astwisted pair suggested.

I also installed a CP 100 on a CICS V7 the other day and had issues. Nothing major though. My biggest conern was that it took awhile for the CP to find the KSU.
