I have a customer with an ICS. They have a bank of 20 DID'S. The first one rings at the operator and while that DID is busy no other calls can ring in, just busy.

I think the programming was changed or never was to assign the DID's to DN'S.

Can any one help as how you program this so the operator can get multiple incoming calls?

Thanks in advance

You need to assign the did's as target lines. Once this is done go to terminals and sets and make each target line appear and ring on the dn's that you want did's on. Make sure the digits that the telco sends (usually 3 or 4) match your programming. Also chek the did card to see if it is set to immediate or wink start. This also must match what the telco is sending you.

Sounds like your basic programming is OK. Analog DID's are polarity sensative! Have the telco test the circuits.

Jwooten: I wish you had mentioned that Analog DIDs are polarity sensitive about a month ago! I had to learn through the school of hard knocks (about 4 or 5 hours worth). The polarity was backwards from the telco, and I didn't notice that all the DID jumpers were backwards when I plucked them off.

Anyway, it sounds like the problem in this case is a lack of appearances for the Main Tel. Number target line on the reception set. Go to Terminals & Sets, Line Access, Line Assignment, Target Line #, then press Show and change the number of line appearances to 4 or whatever you want. The alternative would be to assign 4 intercom buttons to that set and make the target line "Ring Only."

Oh yeah, also make sure the phone in question is not set to "DND on Busy" under capabilities.
