I have a customer with a mics and a NAM. The owner 229 wants his assistant 232 to answer and screen all his calls.I set the assistant up with answer dn for 229, and she then will tranfer only the acceptible calls to him. The owner does not want his phone to ring when the call first comes in. What am I missing here? It is way to hot today!

How are the calls getting to 229? Options out of a CCR, calls ringing in directly, transfered calls from the front desk? Route these calls to 232 instead. Let them screen the call and pass along the one that need to go. Is it that simple?

skwirl is right, you just need to ring 232 directly. If you need to identify 229s calls somehow, try a hunt group with 232 as the only member. Put an appearance of the hunt group on 232 (rather than the Answer DN). Thanks for the responce. The calls are answered by the main receptionist, 221, and then tranfered. I will be back on sight Friday and will try to set up a hunt group, instead of the answer DN.
thanks again
