Hello all,
I work for a small company that uses the Norstar M7324 system and we've recently run into a recurring problem. For the last week now, about once a day, the voice mail features on all phones drop out. I will try to transfer someone into a voice mail box and after hitting feature 986 the screen goes blank for 10-20 seconds and then goes back to showing the current line Im using. We will go to our "main phone" and unplug everything, which resets our whole system. This seems to fix it temporarily. I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem, or has heard of anything like this. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Tim

I would suggest you get a technician out to look at your system. your skillset doesn't seem to be at a level to try to troubleshoot this yourself for this particular problem. even with assistance from us on the baord you probably wouldn't know what we're talking about. a 7324 is not a system, it is a phone. I am sure there is someone on this board in your area and if you don't get a reply from someone then click on the installers section above and you can look up someone.

I would echo the advice of Dan, get a technician out. However, there is one thing that you may want to try. If unplugging the main receptionist phone gets the system running again, it would seem to me that it is possible that the phone (and build-up on the keypad) is the problem. If you have another phne of the same type, try using the other phone in the "main" position and leaving the suspect phone off of the system for a few days. See if the trouble recurs. If it does not act up, get the phone repaired. ------------------ Norstar Telephone Repair Toshiba Telephone Repair [This message has been edited by paul144 (edited August 12, 2005).]
