MICS 4.1

Customer has appering lines.
Lines ring in on extension 221, then to hunt group ringing extensions 221, 222, and 223.

Caller ID only appears on 221 when ringing, all other have to use feature 811.

Tried hunt group trick, and caller ID appears after you answer call.

Is there a way to make it appear on other phones before you answer call?

Thanks,
JJ

JJ,
There are several places you have to go in programming to enable caller ID. You need to identify the CLID set under lines. Under Terminals and Sets/User Preferences /Call log options, set to Log all calls,Under Terminals and Sets/Telco Features/Feature assign/Show line_ _ _/if line is assigned to the set, Call log set Y, Under terminals and sets/Telco Features/ Called ID:Y.

Hope this helps.

For the Mics 4.1 you can only view the caller Id information for one extension prior picking up the call and the rest of the extension will have to either pick the call or use feature 811 to view the caller id information. However if you have Cics any versions or Mics rel 6.1 or above you could see the caller Id for all the extension prior pick up the calls. So in your situation there is no simple solution I hope that clear it to you JJ.

Thanks Sam!

I have used the Hunt group trick for systems that do not have direct appearing lines and it showed on all the sets that rang.

I thought that would be the answer.

Thanks,
JJ
