Hello my fellow techs, I have never being able to remotely connect successfully to any of my Norstar systems. Here's what I'm doing. 1.) I enter into my desktop program 2.) I enter the dialed number and password 3.) I hear my computer's modem being intialized/ 4.) I hear the dialing number connecting to the remote number. 5.) After about 1 minute I get * remote modem timeout. 6.) During that time I do not get ant indication or popup prompt to go head with anything else. 7.) At each location I have a line programmed to answer after 8 or 9 rings then Irad. 8.) I always get ** remote modem timed out! 9.) I'm using a 56k modem in my desktop 10.) All of my CICS & MICS systems have IRAD enabled..........
** Does anyone have any idea what's going on? *********** Thanks for any help......

Call the operator and tell you are going to call in via modem, when she answers that call she should press feature * 0. See if you can connect this way.
