I have a BCM 1000 and am learning a lot about it but need a bit of assistance. I just configured it from scratch and was setting up the CallPilot. The customer wants the voice mail to pickup immediately at night so I created a ring group (02) and put the CallPilot DN in it, went to schedules - line settings and put the target line into ring group 2 and it works great. My problem is that since all of the other lines are in that service mode they ring DN221 even if they are set to private. I do not want private lines ringing the receptionist at night, I want them to ring the extension and eventually go to voice mail like day mode. My thought was to delete all lines from night mode, create individual ring groups for all private lines that have voicemail, in line settings under night put the target line into the particular, previously created ring group. Is there an easier solution?

Also one other question how can you make a particular line ring at multiple DNs but eventually be answered by a particular mailbox. For instance CEO Tom has 3 administrative assistants. When Tom's phone rings in it also rings his administrative assistants phones. After 4 rings the phone should be answered by Tom's personel greeting and be prompted to leave Voicemail.

Thanks in advance....

Hi gcave,

A service mode is system wide, it affects ALL lines, normal ringing no longer applies. Setting up the individual ring groups for each private line will work. But, an easier way is to assign all of the private lines to a ring group that has no members. This will force calls to ring the prime set for that line. Just be sure your prime sets are configured appropriately.

The answer to your second question is to use "Answer DNs" on the assistants phones.

Good Luck!
