i am installing a TAPIT call accounting system.
Not sure of the settings the pc is asking for. i have tried parity on/off and changing the bits from 1200 to 9600 but no luck. help

the tapit is new. i am not sure of the settings on the smdr. the tapit tech support does not know them. the smdr is a used one, so no manual.

The parameters of SMDR4 are:
• 2400 (Minimum)baud rate (You can change it up to 19200)
• None parity
• 8 data bit
• 1 stop bit
• hardware flow control (CTS/RTS)
the SMDR must be connected to a PC through the RS232 interface.You can admin the SMDR using feature 9*2.

feat 9*2 is admined where?? nortel or pc or tapit??
thanks for the info on the parameters that helps. all i was getting before was diamonds and little hearts...
will try this out on tuesday.

Feature 9*2 is (admin feature) from the nortel side on the adminstartion phone.
