had a power failure on an 824DS/DR5 with a flash4.customer is new and was my first time there. everything is programmed back as close to what it was before. they are full AA.BUT... here is the problem they want 227 (no mbox)to ring indefinatly when dialed thru AA. after 4-6 rings it dumps into the general mbox. HOW DO I STOP IT? they claim it did it before.

I would read every extension number (maintainance I think) vrs. port number and go into the VM and look at each extension to see what is going on with the mailbox association to extension number. It sounds like there is some extension that you are not seeing going into a mailbox. Screwy things like this do happen and only by going into VM admin and using CHANGE to look at each extension will you be sure.

I know it sounds silly, but phone work is detective work.

The Transfer Callback is set for 4 rings. When an extension transfers a call if no one answers in 4 rings then it goes back to whoever transfers the call in this case it is the Flash.

can you turn off delay ring trans?, i think i maxed the rings. right now its going about 4-5 rings then "this is the general delivery mbox".
this was my first time there, so i am not really sure of what it did before. all my progaming was done in the 824 i did not have to touch the flash due to the power hit.

It's not Delay Ring Transfer it's Transfer Callback and all you can do is up the amount of rings. I think you can up them to 12 rings. The programming is done in the 8x24. Delay Ring Transfer is for calls that have not been answered by anything. Transfer Callback is used for calls that have been answered and then Transfered to someone.
