I've been battling with this fax "solution" from Nortel for over two months now. Fax reception is chancy at best - especially with newer ECC fax machines which seem to wait for the receive tone before sending (and Nortel waits for the Send tone, before handshaking, so they wait for each other forever). Fax sending is also problematic - even when it works - it seems that messages can get stuck in queue and get send repetitively to recipients. Can anyone recommend a fax suite that actually works with the Nortel system??? I have a BCM 3.6 with Call Center Pro and the Fax Suite - and a very upset client - faxing is their bread and butter here - so - they've been living on my eFax in the meantime - which is costing me much $$$!

How many faxes are you trying to send out at a time?

I am not familiar with Fax Suite, but there are lots of reliable fax boards out there new and used that could be hooked up to analog cards or ATAs and have it all be happy. Some of this stuff is so touchy that it never will integrate perfectly with newer stuff as it is released.

Are you a Nortel dealer that can Nortel to take it back or get a factory person out there to make it work? Do they know how bad the problem is?

If not a dealer, will your vendor give you credit?

Have you googled "EEC fax machines" and asked the manufacturers to contact Nortel?

Have you googled "fax senders" and checked out the alternatives?
