We are closing one of our buildings that has an Option 11 in it. I have never worked with it. My question is where would be a good place to sell it? We have Siemens everywhere else and no longer need it. Also what do I need to sell it? I have zero info on it as it was installed long before I came here. Any help would be great.

This site has an area call buy/sell phone equipment, you could list it there. You'll need the first and second level passwords as well as the software type and version your running, these are things a potential buyer would require. It would also be beneficial to list what cards and voicemail if any are installed in the cabinet. I'm no expert on this phone switch, but what I've listed would at the very least be a good place to start.
Beer, sure I'll try one

Sorry mminelli, I'm not exactly sure how you would handle the Right to use paperwork or if there's even a need to. I suppose you could try and contact Nortel to see if it's necessary to transfer ownership of the switch as it were, so that if needed the buyer could get support from Nortel. Again I'm not really sure. Maybe someone with experience when it comes to this situation will pipe in.

There is a piece of paper called the RTU agreement that has to be signed by the seller and the buyer with the correct serial numbers of the software of both phone system and voice mail. It then has to be registered with Nortel by an authorized distributor unless they can participate in a COAM agreement. Customer owned and maintained agreements may not even be around anymore. The reason for the RTU is that you never own the Nortel software. It remains in Nortels ownership for the life of the equipment.
