Exectly how are you trying to redirect? Maybe as rolden suggests your proceedure is wrong. What kind of line are you trying to redirect? If you are sure the above is correct, a reboot may cure the problem. Be aware an old switch like this may have cap problems and you risk losing the configuration data.
