Hello all. I'm relatively new to the telecom industry (1 year) but I'm starting to work on new systems. Someone told me that the Nortel Compact ICS has 2 paging ports that could hook up to. 1st - Is this true? 2nd - If 'yes' which pin is it on the 66 block and 3rd - What is the command to page 4th - How do I have the two page simultaneously ie. from one extension?
I know these are a lot of questions, but I sure would appreciate any advice. Thanks so much.

Hello Walter,
Welcome to Tech Talk!
There is just one external page port on the CICS (or any Norstar for that matter). If you need more external zones, you will need to use a third party page adapter.

Walter: If you need more than one zone to page to, you can get a Valcom V-2003A for 3-zones or V-2006A for 6-zones. But it uses a free CO port off the trunk card. You would set up a line pool or a route for that trunk port. Example: Line Pool-B with dial 8. Then pick up Intercom, dial an 8, this accesses the Valcom which gives a dial tone back, then dial 1,2, or 3 for the zone or 0 for all zones.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?
