yup did that, still no go. It seems that the caller id issue follows the ports, if I swap line 2 and 3, ports 202 and 203, the line on port 203 shows the caller id while the line on port 202 loses its caller id info??? any ideas? I have swapped the M8 out with a second replacement now and still having the same issue. Is there an interface for this thing or a trick to setting it up because it seems straight forward.

Check the programing for line 2. Caller ID DN is none by default.

ok, the caller id DN for line 2 and 4 are set to the CAP; the prime set for each line is set to the voicegate vip4000 DN. This is the same as the other 6 lines that are all working fine.

Check your wiring, that's the only thing left.
