The easy way would be to look on the s/w cartridge, read the software level and look at the compatibility chart that is cleverly hidden in FAQ a/k/a Frequently Asked Questions on the top of the Norstar page. OK?

Hi Bunnie, yes that was the first thing that I looked at. Unfortunatley the sticker on the software catridge has been removed. So I looked in programming for the version.

If it is ml (em ell) not m1 ( em one) that is a MICS 4.0.
SP numbers are case sensitive.

Thanks Telemarv, my mistake it is ML. This customer has been told by a large supplier that they would need to upgrade there MICS software in order to have T series sets and call pilot. Correct me if I am wrong but the compatibility chart that I am looking at says 4.0 is compatible with both T series and CP.
thanks again for your help.

You can use T sets on it but several buttons don't function unless you have later software. I'm trying to remember but I think it's the speakerphone button or mic...not sure. I've only put CPs only rls 5 and above.

Official CP compatibility 4.1 or higher
T7316, T7208, T7100 will function correctly T7316e will function as a T7316. There will be no KIM support as 6.1 or higher is required.

Thank you Marv and RBF for all your help. I will recommend a software upgrade on the MICS. They currently have a PRI, so if we upgrade the 4.0 will we also have to purchase new key codes for the PRI?
