I have a client with a Plantronics CS-10 Cordless Headset system attached to her M7208 behind a Mod 8x24. The phone was setup for "Intercom" as Prime line". When either the handset or headset was used, there was no problem until she went on sick leave.
While she was gone, the office "Nimrod" needed a handset cord, so he borrowed hers. I don't know what else he did, but since she got back, when she pushes the "Talk" button on the headset unit, the lifter lifts the handset as it should, but will not select the prime line for outgoing calls or the incoming call line.
If, on the other hand, she lifts the handset, all works as it should.

I've checked all the connections and settings, but can't find the problem. Any ideas?

Flip the phone over and make sure the CS-10 is connected to the correct port. If it is currently connected to the head set port move it to the hand set port. Or vise versa.

CS-10 connection with headset lifter:

-Plug CS10 base unit into HANDSET plug of the phone.
-Plug the headset and the handset into the base unit.

You're right, he had unplugged the cord between the C/L & the set and plugged it back in wrong. Thanks, Telemarv....
