Greets all,
I'm going to be upgrading our MICS 3.0 system to 6.1MR this weekend, and wanted to make sure I had all of my bases covered.
It's a non expanded system, very basic, 4 analog CO lines and 20 extensions. Voicemail is Startalk FLASH 2 running V2.0.10. Only other hardware is a FastRAD (that I'm using with NRU 10). I'll be cold starting it with the upgrade, so I'm not worried about saving our settings.
From what I can tell, the VM software version is compatible with 6.1MR, and the FastRAD will work (but I may need an additional map file from somewhere?)
I've heard mention of line numbering changing when I upgrade? Will I have to move some stuff around on my BIX, or will all the ports stay the same (ie. same ICS wiring chart for 3.0 and 6.1MR)?
Also, if I should need to roll back to 3.0 for any reason, I've heard there's a trick or two?
Thanks in advance,
Ken.
