Does anyone know of any issues with PRI on a MICS 4.1? I'm proposing a PRI install and I'm wondering if I should include a software upgrade as well. If so, which software rev. is the best to go with?

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

I don't have the sheet in front of me, but it seems like the latest revision of 4.1 is G15. If that is what you're on, I think you'll be OK. However, Nortel no longer supports 4.1. So, if that is important to you, you'll want to jump up to 6.1 (a later release of that as well wink ).

Good Luck!

On 4.1 and 4.0 we have had the target line programming disappear on us a couple of times, on 2 different sites. It involved power bumps and restarts, but 4.1 is way better than 4.0. I would include the upgrade to 7.0, but that is just me.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

That is me too. I should have said, at least 6.1. :thumb:

You'll probably have to upgrade the voice mail too.

I had the same problem with 4.1 on a T-1. Also, make sure you don't have a NVRAM version 1. Have them upgrade, it's only money...

I would purchase 7.0. When you purchase it, it should come with the NVRAM V2. If you have a pre 4.1 NAM, just upgrade the NAM to 4.1 (it works with 7.0). Thats what I would do.
