Can't get AA to answer call. Calls not answered by the receptionist are sent to the General Mailbox 100. How can I get the AA greeting to answer first?

Have you set the AA to answer the lines in programming?

Yes, all lines were set to answer at 4 rings. The only other extension set to ringing is the receptionist, x221(set to answer at 6 rings). This x221 is also the general mailbox 100.

If any other phone has ringing assigment and call forward to the voice mail is set to 3 rings and does not have voice mail box set up I think it will go to the general delivery mailbox.
I hope that makes sense, I am in a hurry.

I think dans is on the right track. Check all phones and make sure no lines ring only or appear & ring on any phone except for x221.

Set the lines prime to the voicemail DN (Feature 985).

Then set the Prime ring to how many rings you want it to be (in system programming)

Good Luck!!.

If all else fails, use a BFH.

Just thought of something.
You can also leave the way you have it settip and make sure that the Voicemail DN (Feature 985) rings for the lines you want answered.

Good Luck!!

Im with gamedinasr, if the lines in Feature 982 are set to answer no, they won't pick up.
