It can connect to any station port. If you are asking us which port it was connected to, we have no idea.
If the customer has a list of their extensions as they were in the old location, use the process of elimination to narrow it down.
Last two ports available maybe???

To put it back the way it was. Power up the Norstar FIRST. Go into the programming of one of the stations and see what the DN is for FORWARD on NO ANSWER. See if that is the same for 2 or 3 different DN's. Good chance that DN is the DN for the Voice Mail. Then connect the first port of the VM unit to that port. The second port of the VM really does not matter. Other wise if you put the first port on the "wrong" port (which will still work) you will have to re-program ever FNA for all the phones, and maybe other places. Once you found the correct port and have it connected, then you may power up the VM unit. It should work ok at that point.

Per Rich I began from the bottom up and Per NTlayoff I only connect 1 port of the vm until it worked and connected the second afterwards. So we're back to original state before the move. I really really appreciate all the help I received and the tolerance of my lack of experience. Take rich for example even though he felt strongly against me servicing the customer (Friend) he still continued to help. Any how I very appreciative to all, thank you very much.

Great answer NT, that solved where to put it quite clearly and easily. I've always used two consecutive ports as the issue has never come up of using non-consecutive ports.
Is it in print that the ports don't have to be consecutive or is that something you found out on your own? I've never seen that info but I'm not too old to learn.

I do not believe that you will find it in any manual (it could be) that you have to use consecutive ports or not. I usually do. But I have found (someone else did the install) some that have not. One time, I had to put together a system that someone else took apart. That was my question, Which port was VM on? So after a couple min of scratching my head, I said, the system can tell me via the Forward No Answer. I checked and sure enough there was the DN. And of course you want to make sure that is the first port of the VM. You can't forward to or dial a DN of a VM port that is not port one.
