Hi All ... I hope somebody can help me with this situation. Upgrading a 4 line system from a LS/DS trunk to CID ... no problem until I get to the night service issue. Currently at 5:00p.m. the system goes to night service ... rings directly to v/m (ext. 300), and no other extensions ring. Because V/M answers immediately, no caller ID comes through.
I know I need a full ring for the CID to come in. The problem is that we want the system to function the same way it does now:
- During the day, lines ring 4 times at all extensions, then forward to v/m auto attendant on the 5th ring.
- At night, no sets ring, and auto attendant answers.
I need to make the v/m wait until 1 ring to pick up the line at night, but I don't know a way to accomplish this.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If the voicemail is set to "0" rings at night, just increase it to "2" rings.
You should leave the sets ringing just as they are in day mode if you want them to log the CID info. If the sets don't ring, they won't show CID.
Sorry but, It can't function the same way it does now. It will have to change to accomplish what you are wanting it to do.
