We have a Norstar Modular DR5 phone system
Our factory phones have a restriction for dialing external numbers unless they enter their password
We would like to allow one phone extension to be able to dial area codes 631, 516, 718, 212, 800, 877, and 888 without requiring the user to enter a password. The only way I could do this was to create a new filter under Capabilities and then have 97 restrictions to cover all the other variations and assign the filter to that extension. Is there a better way to accomplish this? The manual talks about a Telephone (Set) filter being a collection of restrictions and exceptions, but I wasn’t able to find anything on exceptions

Yes you can create exceptions.
The correct way would be to restrict 1xxx and then build an exception table of 1800, 1877 etc.
Once you create the filter use next > show to enter the exceptions.
