I just checked my profile where I was trying to download my photo. The photo being displayed is a mistake. It is a photo of a man (performer) named Joseph Hill who recently died in Jamaica. My husband is from Jamaica. I couldn't upload my photo and I am not sure how that one accidently posted.

Look, I did not come here to fool anyone about anything. I fixed my photo to the correct one.
I appreciate everyone who has tried to help me here. Thank you for your time and for taking me seriously. What happened should not happen to anyone.

Beverly.. not many people post their pic in their initial post on the board. It's hard to get people who post frequently to do that. If you still have the caller ID of the call PM one of the Mods on the board and if it's passed on to me I'll check out where it came from if possible.

Beverly, it appears that through some of today's communication that we may be solving the dilemma. When you mentioned the MRI billing and the "case number" mentioned in the message, it makes a little more sense.
Your husband's doctors may have shared this number with their immediate staff with honest intentions. Unfortunately, this trust waters down the soup and may have eventually led to someone totally isolated from having access to this information. Remember that e-mails have trails, so it may have been shared using this medium and could have been caught just by someone reviewing a complete thread of e-mail sends, replies and forwards.
Somebody representing themselves as "The MRI Department" needing to contact you. Some night-shift person not knowing much better may have simply scrolled down in e-mails and found your number. Privacy is VERY difficult to protect these days.
Remember that despite the fact that you have trusted this phone number only to certain people, they may also have been intimmidated by collectors. I think that solves much of your mystery, even though it still stinks.

Ok, thanks everyone. I checked with my husband and we did not give my cell # to the doctors. I am going to try the search with superpages tomorrow and try calling during business hours. If that doesn't work, I will PM the moderator but I don't really want to put anyone to extra work. I just felt it was really wrong to put me through what they did. There may come a day when I get that kind of phone call legitimately.
My main reason for posting here was to find out who partnermail VS was since that was the only identification I had with the number left.
I really do appreciate all the feedback and once I find out what happened, I will come back and let you know.
Thank you very much for caring enough to help.

Would be real interested to know what your search turns up. Keep in mind that any number can be spoofed these days. Partnermail indicates a small to medium business- not typical of your usual collector shop.

No. This was simply somebody imitating "Partner Mail VS" in order to scare Beverly into talking to him. The call had nothing to do with a Partner Mail system. I thought we cleared that up.

Can you post the phone number that you were asked to call?

Just to clarify, a voicemail begins the message saying that it is being brought to me by PartnerMail VS. The number that was left in the message was 800-810-7623. The number my phone identified was 210-308-3096. I called today and got the receptionist and verified that a Michael Hilton (not sure of spellings) worked there. I told her the story and that I was upset. She asked me to hold for a supervisor. I held for about fifteen minutes and gave up.
