i just installed a pri on a MICS with a flash voice mail. i set line 157 which i believe is the first prime line on the 6.1 software. i set the voice mail to pickup line 157, and when a caller chooses their destination it just shows the call being transfered from line 157. so where am i losing the caller id? also is there a way to program the phones so callers don't have to dial a 9 before calling out. because i've set 9 to access pri-pool A. is there a way that i can program a button to access pri-pool A, any help would be appreciated.

Your off hook selection of PRI-A is a choice in Capabilities for each extension. You can have individual lines assigned on that phone, a regular pool (Pool A), PRI-A, or intercom.
You have to turn on CID for the set to receive it.

i believe that before i installed the pri they already had caller id. so can you think of anything else, but i will go back and check to see if each set is set to recieve it.

quick update, i did everything i could to get the caller ID info. but nothing, so i gave the service provider a call, earlier he told me that it is on the order and should be working, but i asked him to verify it and sure enough the information wasn't even making it to the switch. next i need some more clarification on making a call with PRI. currently i've got 9 assigned as the route and dest code. the software is 6.1 and under (prime line) PRI pool A is not an option. can i set a button to access PRI pool A or what are my options. basically the customer dosen't want to dial a 9 each time they make a phone call. they want it like before when they had regular POTS lines with prime line set to pool A. any help would be greatly appreciated

you can set your prime line to PRI-A just like it was Pool A with POTS lines.

Your PRI lines have to be assigned to PRI-A not pool A.
Under lines, (if you have the card in slot 1) the lines will be 001 to 023 and once you put 001 into PRI-A, 002 to 023 will automatically be there.

my mistake, i meant PRI-A not Pool A. and i'm pretty sure they were automatically set to PRI-A upon install of DTI card. and yes they are lines 001-023. do i need to check to make sure they are PRI-A in the Lines programming? i thought this was done automatically?

It sounds like you've set it up properly. You won't be able to get around the dial '9' problem - your customer will have to suck it up. The only way to 'trick' it is to put a hotdial of 9 in for each set. But then the users won't hear the dial tone...

i never thought of that, and i think the customer might be okay without hearing the dial tone when they lift the handset. one other question, is there any way to extend the time between dialing so that the line dosen't drop when someone dosen't dial their number in a timely manner. i'm assuming this would be done through the service provider (if its even capable on a PRI). any thoughts?
