I am expanding a 1 port, 24 mailbox StarTalk Flash to a 2 port, 48 mailbox configuration. I added the expansion module and powered the system back up. Not able to add any mb's beyond the existing 24. Someone in another post suggested the vm DN's needed to be in sequence, which I'll try today. Would I need to reinstall vm at F985 and program from scratch? Are there any steps I'm missing?
Thanks

It must see the 2nd port of the phone system on the flash. Go into Port maintenance and see what you see for the 2nd port connected to the mail.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

As "Nickels" stated. Once it is seen, you will not have to reprogram from scratch, just add you new desired mailboxes.
If you still can't, you might have a defective line cord or dead jack leading to the cord...etc
Test the cord with you test set to hear the system tone. If ok to there, and you still can't add mailboxes, you might have a defective upgrade card.

Whether or not the 2nd port is used or not will not affect the expansion module ability to increase the mailbox capacity.
Some flash software version a flakey, especially pre 1.9. I've seen flash upgrades require a system reinstall to work correctly.
