OK, we have at our fire station:
CICS with ver 7.0 SW 4 incoming lines 10 extensions, all appear and ring with 2 digit DN's NO Hunt groups nothing fancy, pretty straight forward.
Why I want to change the system setup:
If for any reason the local CO does not see the county PSAP, all 911 calls in our jurisdiction ( 4 exchanges and 2 different LEC's ) get automatically forwarded to us by their switch.
I would like to be able to do a kind of 'reverse' night service, whereby when that situation happens and we are 'manning the phones' the operator in the tempoary dispatch center would enter a key sequence or press a button to have that DN become in effect an CAP.
Hope this makes sense, looking forward to some good ideas for a good useable solution.
Thanks in advance Jeff

"to have that DN become in effect an CAP"
I know I am getting old, and I can guess a county PSAP is some kind of facility that takes 911 calls, but what the heck is a CAP?
Analog calls from a dispatch center could be sent to DID numbers and ring on analog DID trunks at your place to a specific extension.
A bit more clarity on what you want would be helpful.

Up here in Canada a "Cap" is a acronym for "Central Answering Position", which is a module that attaches to a M7324, normally used by the receptionist to see who's on the phone or to be able to have extra 1-touch buttons. I think in the States, you call it a KLM or something like it.
If all phones appear & ring, I don't see what the problem is unless you want a specific phone to do the answering in a case like that, where someone can actually take the info and dispatch from there.
Like the previous reply stated, more info would help.

Bunnie: CAP Central Answering Position PSAP Public Service Answering Point (911)
Sorry for the unclarity, I knew what I meant :shhh:
At the present time when the phone rings, anyone is likely to answer, I don't want that at a time when our station will become a mini 911 center.
I want to be able to restrict the incoming lines to A phone or two. At the same time I need to restrict access to outside lines from the other DNs.
Does this make sense now ???

Jeff You may want to try programing the two phones you want in the night mode. When you get the the fwd call it will only ring on two phone when the system night service is on. Juno

Updated and clarified my requirements.
I figure that a night mode is the way to go, just wanted to bounce it around a little to see what you experts thought about it.

Night Ringing and restriction services should do the trick.
If all else fails, use a BFH.
