The system is a MICS with Nam.. extension eg. 2345 has mail box 2345 assigned to it when you do f981 it wants m/b plus password (like you are trying to access it from another set ) and when you call this m/b it is full ,,I have deleted m/b 2345 reassigned it to 2345 ext. when you go to check it has no messages in it. What am I missing???

Go back in and delete m/b 2345. Do F981, (it should come up log) try entering the m/b # and pswd as before, it should be rejected.
Try calling this ext now and after the CFNA number of rings it should now say "this m/b has not been initialized."
If the above doesn't happen, there has to be another m/b assigned to this set.

I think there must be another m/b assigned and these guys have about 60 of them ,does this mean I would have to visit each m/b until I find the extension or is there a short cut ? this is an older nam & MICS system a print out would sure be nice

You can't have a mailbox assigned to more than one extension, and vice versa, the sysetm does not allow it. sounds like you have a corrupted box on the system. Delete mb 2345. reset the voice mail. Try logging in and following the steps twisted pair gave you.

Tks for the info, I must be getting old thinking about a second m/b on the same icm , I think you are correct that a reboot is what is needed but with this old beast it may never start up again,"problem solved"
